Emma Brittain is an interdisciplinary artist based in Buffalo, NY. Her work centers on symbolic and real relationships between humans and the natural world. She finds comfort and conviction in the codependence of us all.
Emma Brittain frequently teaches classes, workshops, and engages with community arts. She has recently exhibited work at Box Gallery and Buffalo Art Movement. She upholds her own studio practice along with having a line of handmade pottery, Black and Birdy. She also is in the NYS Master Naturalist Training Program which involves training in conservation work and volunteering at nature preserves and with citizen science initiatives. She believes in the power of wonder, creative solutions, and doing small works for good.
